This is a reminder that the SC Department of Insurance has released the first draft of the State's Beneficiary Mitigation Plan (BMP) under the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust and scheduled a public meeting for Tuesday, May 1st to solicit comments and input regarding the draft BMP, as detailed below:

All organizations or interested parties planning to attend the public meeting should register in advance by emailing the name(s) and affiliations (if any) of the attendees(s) to vwsettlement@doi.sc.gov no later than Friday, April 27, 2018.
In addition to the public meeting, there is an ongoing 45-day public comment period on the draft BMP. Written comments are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Friday, May 25, 2018. Additional details on submission of public comments and the public meeting are included in an April 10th media release and in the draft Beneficiary Mitigation Plan, which are linked to below and available on the Department's VW website, vwsettlement.sc.gov.
