Mental Health Data Call
On June 7, 2005, Act 76 was passed, which added 38-71-290 to the SC Code of Laws. As mandated by law, health insurance plans are required to provide coverge for treatment of mental illness. The South Carolina Department of Insurance is issuing a data call to estimate the impact of the law on health insurance costs.
